How It Works

Join the competition, challenge your research skills, and get recognized!

Current Cycle: Round 2

Submission Deadline: August 31, 2026 (23:59 GMT) ⏳

Results Announcement: September 10, 2026

Step 1: Submission & Requirements

Submit your original research paper or essay via our application form before the deadline. Your work must be around 1,000 words, but mustn’t exceed 4,000 words, written in English, and based on at least 3 credible sources. Citation format: references, preferably in Chicago style. Please note: using AI to write the text is strictly forbidden. AI can only be used to search for information. If you used AI for translation, attach the original version (in your native language)

Step 2: Evaluation & Review

All papers enter a competitive review process. Our student-led committee evaluates every submission based on academic honesty, logic, and depth of analysis. The selection is tight, as only the top 10% of high-quality papers successfully pass the review.

Step 3: Awarding & Community

Every student who submits a paper gets exclusive access to the global YISS community to network with motivated peers. Authors of the selected winning papers receive official electronic certificates from the YISS Organizing Committee, and their works are formally published in our Archive to strengthen their college portfolios.
